Smart Omega Empress asserted their dominance in the female MLBB scene after dominating the 2024 MLBB Women’s Invitational – Philippine Qualifiers with a lopsided 3-0 sweep of TNC Z4 in the grand finals on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios.
The Empress opened the series with tremendous dominance, conceding only one death while tallying 14 kills during a 13-minute victory in Game 1.
Sheen “SHINOA” Perez (Harith) led the way with a spotless 4-0-4 KDA while Rica “AMOREE” Amores (Novaria) finished with a 2-0-8 KDA.
The 2023 SEA Games silver medalist did not let up in Game 2, controlling the match from the get-go with superior macro control throughout.
SHINOA (Karrie) capped off the rampage with a triple kill in the winding moments of Game 2 to spark a game-winning 5-0 wipeout and reach match point, 2-0.
With their backs against the wall, TNC Z4 played a more disciplined Game 3 and were leading 3-2 early in the 3rd minute before Gwen “not ayanami” Diagon (Khaleed) scored a kill during the turtle fight and helped Omega establish a 1.5k net worth lead.
Omega did not look back from there and completed the sweep by the 14th minute.
On the way to the finals, Omega survived a tough 2-0 win over ONIC Zol who handed them a 3-2 loss during the Liga Adarna Season 7 title match last October 2023.
