In a post shared on Facebook Friday evening, Princess Marcial, wife of Filipino Olympic bronze medalist Eumir, revealed distressing details about the state of their marriage and allegations of infidelity, manipulation, and abuse.
The post, which has since gone viral, was an account of her personal struggles over the past few months.
“So much has happened in the past few months,” she began. “I have had to deal with such difficult events in my personal life that took a toll on my mental and emotional health. Particularly, things in my marriage with Eumir that I may have kept out of the public.”
Princess had married Eumir at a beach wedding in Batangas in October 2021.
She went on to reveal that she caught her husband having an affair with a woman named Jessa Santos in October 2024.
The affair was reportedly discovered after Princess, along with her sister, personally caught the two inside a condominium in Pasay.
According to her post, both Eumir and his mistress were arrested and detained for five days.
Despite the discovery, Princess said she gave Eumir a chance to make amends, signing an affidavit of desistance and allowing him to go free, in hopes that he would correct his mistakes.
However, she claims that instead of redeeming himself, Eumir’s actions worsened.
She described how the affair escalated into a “sickening love affair,” and shared information suggesting that Eumir and his mistress had begun living together and even built a house in Zamboanga, using funds from their joint account.
While some details of the case cannot be made public due to legal reasons, Princess made it clear that she plans to submit all gathered evidence to the courts.
“For legal reasons, we cannot release any of the evidence we have gathered to the public but they will be submitted instead to the court who we will let decide about the outcome of the case,” she explained.
“I had to sever all sources of communication with him after all the trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment that I had to endure.”
The post also touched on the significant role Princess had played in Eumir’s career as his brand manager, sacrificing her own professional aspirations to support his journey.
In a revelation, she claimed that Eumir had threatened her, vowing to ensure she would not be able to receive anything from their separation.
“I’m seriously concerned about my safety, the safety of my family, and the potential witnesses of this case against Eumir,” she stated.
“Eumir, being a well-recognized athlete, has also gained support and protection from his connections who are very much capable of influencing the outcome of this case.
“This is a truth that not only represents me but so many women who have had to deal with their abusive husbands,” she wrote. “Our marriage means a lot to me, because it has divine blessing guided by the knowledge that it is also the foundation of every family. How Eumir disrespected his vows to God and to me by cheating on me and continuously deceiving me had hurt me in unimaginable ways.”
Princess concluded her post with a call for support.
“Please continue to help pray for me and my family’s healing as well as our safety throughout this process.”
Eumir, who won a bronze medal in boxing at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, has not publicly responded to his wife’s allegations.
The case is expected to unfold in court, where Princess hopes justice will be served.
