Super Frince leads ONIC PH to MPL PH UB Finals spot

Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez stepped up in a big way as ONIC Philippines secured their place in the upper bracket finals of the MPL Philippines Season 15 playoffs with a 3-1 victory over Aurora on Thursday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

Head coach Tony “Ynot” Senedrin expressed relief and pride after witnessing his team’s growth in today’s matchup, following a grueling Game 5 series the day before.

“It went to Game 5 and nakakatuwa kasi again ramdam na ramdam ko yung difference yesterday sa ngayon,” he said.

“Ngayon sobrang, alam mo yun, iba yung vibes namin. Iba yung energy. Iba yung yung utak, yung tulungan, yung pagiging positive sa lahat ng mga bagay. Sobrang nakakatuwa talaga.”

Despite dropping the opening game due to Aurora’s unpredictable draft, Super Frince answered back with a vintage performance on Zhuxin in Game 2—tallying five kills and eight assists without a single death to tie the series at 1-1.

In Game 3, ONIC delivered in the clutch during a pivotal Lord clash at the 14-minute mark. K1NGKONG secured the objective, and Kelra followed up with a double kill that ignited a game-winning 5-0 wipeout, putting the team on match point.

Aurora managed to push the series to a fourth game, but ONIC stayed composed.

In a tense 19-minute Lord fight in Game 5, the Sonics emerged victorious with King “K1NGKONG” Perez (Ling) and Jann “Kirk” Gutierrez (Edith) each scoring a double kill to seal the series and book their return to the upper bracket finals.

ONIC now stands just one win away from clinching a coveted spot in the MSC 2025, set to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
