Sanji, Team Liquid PH sink Team Falcons, secure MSC 2025 spot

Team Liquid Philippines reasserted its dominance over Team Falcons with an emphatic 4-2 victory to secure a spot in the grand finals of the MPL Philippines Season 15 playoffs on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

The win also marked Team Liquid PH’s official return to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC), earning the slot as the second Philippine representative.

TLPH head coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B. Cruz praised his team’s composure, calling it the key factor in their redemption against a seasoned squad like Team Falcons

“Compared nung mga previous matches namin, (ngayon) sobrang bilis nilang magstay composed sa mga sarili nila. Kahit madown sila or makacommit ng mistakes, sobrang bilis nilang magreset. Nakaka-proud lang kasi hindi lahat ng players kayang gawin yun eh,” he said.

Alston “Sanji” Pabico, using Lou Yi, set the tone in Game 1 with a stellar performance. He racked up nine kills and 15 assists while surrendering only two deaths in a 16-minute romp.

He continued his stellar form in Game 2, coming up clutch in crucial moments — including a highlight-worthy 1-on-1 outplay against Super Marco in the 27th minute that led to a key pickoff. That moment allowed Team Liquid PH to secure the Lord and set up a decisive base turret siege to seal the game.

Although Team Falcons stormed back in Game 3, the Season 13 champions responded in dominant fashion in Game 4. Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s Granger took over with a flawless 7-0-3 KDA in just 12 minutes, propelling the team to match point with a statement win.

With the series extended to Game 6, Oheb went on rampage with nine kills and two assists to keep Team Falcons at bay in an otherwise smooth sailing 16-minute victory.

Team Liquid PH will next face defending champion ONIC Philippines in a highly anticipated showdown for the MPL Philippines Season 15 crown.
