SEA Games: Angelo Marquez, Stephanie Sabalo break Vietnam stronghold in dance

The Philippine national dancesport team broke the seeming onslaught of hosts Vietnam on Sunday.

Michael Angelo Marquez and Stephanie Sabalo snagged the gold in the Latin single dance – cha-cha-cha to pace Team Philippines’ medal haul at the start of the competitions held at the Nhà this đấu Long Biên in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Marquez and Sabalo could not keep their Latin five dances gold and instead finished with the silver. They also ended with the silver in jive.

On their part, Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Cañeda collected a silver and two bronzes. They finished second in samba and ended in third place in rumba and paso double.

Vietnam took all the other golds at stake in the day.
