The Philippine dancesport national team capped their 31st Southeast Asian Games stint in style.
Sean Mischa Aranar and Ana Leonila Nualla retained their standard five dances title to close out a huge haul for the Philippines, Monday at the Nhà thi đấu Long Biên in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Aranar and Nualla edged out 2019 Games bronze medalists Anucha Wijitkoon and Pasrapon Phandech for the gold. Hometown bets Yen Nguyen Thi Hai and Nguyen Duc Hoa took the bronze.
It was actually the cherry on the icing as the two also collected two golds in the standard individual dances in tango and Viennese waltz — two titles they also bagged in the 2019 Games in Mabalacat.
Mark Jayson Gayon and Mary Joy Renigen also defended their slow foxtrot title from the last edition, while adding two silvers in waltz and quickstep.
Overall, the Philippines ended with five golds, five silvers, and two bronzes in the discipline.
