Team Falcons PH soars past Aurora, one win away from MPL PH Grand Finals

Team Falcons PH moved just one win away from securing a grand finals berth after sweeping Aurora, 3-0, in the lower bracket semifinals of the MPL Philippines Season 15 playoffs on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

With the victory, Team Falcons earned a shot at redemption against Team Liquid PH—the same squad that dealt them a heartbreaking reverse sweep just a day prior.

Aurora took control early in Game 1, but Team Falcons turned the tide with a clutch 4-vs-5 skirmish during a hectic 16th-minute clash. That play resulted in three unanswered pickoffs and paved the way for a clean Lord take by the 17th minute.

Armed with map control and a numbers advantage, the Season 12 champions capitalized by eliminating three more enemy heroes without any casualties, setting up a successful base turret siege late in the 18th minute to secure the win.

Game 2 came down to a pivotal Lord fight at the 11-minute mark. Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Granger) exploded with a triple kill, sparking four unanswered pickoffs that sealed the game and put Team Falcons at match point.

In Game 3, Team Falcons mounted a comeback from an early-game deficit behind the mechanical brilliance of Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson, who piloted Lancelot to perfection and completed the sweep.
