MPL PH: AP.Bren secures playoff top seed in thrilling three-game showdown against ECHO

AP.Bren once again concluded the regular season atop the standings after pulling off a thrilling 2-1 victory over ECHO in the final week of MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios.

The reigning M5 World Champions finished the season with 11 wins against three losses, asserting dominance with 35 points.

“I’m happy that we achieved our short term goal which is the top one seeding. I think we medyo standardized yung drafting namin. Yung assassin ayaw talaga gumana eh,” said head coach Francis “Duckeyy” Glindro of their win against ECHO.

AP.Bren started the series with fervor, swiftly amassing a commanding 7-0 lead on the kill score midway through the 12th minute, courtesy of Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Harith) with a 3-0-1 KDA.

The defending champions maintained their momentum, cruising to an 18-minute victory with a dominant 10-2 kill score lead.

In Game 2, ECHO shrugged off AP.Bren’s assassin pick as Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Martis) delivered a flawless performance, finishing with a 5-0-3 KDA in a swift 13-minute victory, evening the series 1-1.

Game 3 came down to a decisive 25th-minute lord fight, where Super Marco (Harith) scored 2 kills to lead a 4-1 wipe, enabling them to mount a game-winning base turret siege.

Despite the loss, ECHO (9-5) secured their place in the upper bracket with 30 points.
