Koyl, 3MarTzy lead TNC to first win of MPL PH round 2, sweeps AP. Bren

By: Jerod Orcullo

Kyle “Koyl” Reyes and Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico’s debut in the MPL Philippines Season 15 allowed TNC Pro Team to get back into the winning column with a 2-0 sweep against AP.Bren on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

Despite being thrusted into the TNC’s lineup midway through the season, Koyl and 3MarTzy impressed in their first appearance on an MPL PH stage.

Through the team’s post-game interview, head coach Deejay “ImbaDeejay” Astibe commended both players for seamlessly fitting into the lineup.

“Sobrang ganda nung pinakita nila pareho, kung makikita natin sa two games. Kaya, kita rin na ano, kayang kaya talaga nila na sumabay sa MPL,” he said.

In Game 1, Lance “LanceCy” Cunanan limited AP.Bren’s map control as he utilized Zhuxin’s kit to zone out The Hive’s frontliners, leaving space for Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales to wreak havoc.

TNC’s mid-laner tallied a 3/2/12 KDA throughout the 21 minutes and six seconds of game time.

After shaking off any jitters in the opening game, Koyl shined in the following match as his 10-kill performance on Joy earned him Game MVP honors.

The “Phoenix Army” will aim for its second-straight win as it clashes against Smart Omega in the opening match next Saturday, March 29 at the same venue.

Meanwhile, AP.Bren has a tough hill to climb as they face both Aurora PH and Team Liquid PH in Week 6.
