Koyl thanks Akosi Dogie for MPL return: ‘May tiwala talaga siya sa akin’

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

The future looks bright for Kyle “Koyl” Reyes as he made a strong impact in his MPL Philippines Season 15 debut.

Koyl wasted no time making a statement, showcasing his prowess in TNC Pro Team’s match against AP.Bren on Saturday. His standout performance earned him the Match MVP title in Game 2, solidifying his arrival on the big stage.

In an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times, the 17-year-old jungler expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity given to him by TNC’s coaching staff. Aware of the trust placed in him, he vowed to make the most of his second chance.

Koyl first entered the MPL scene in Season 13 with Minana EVOS but struggled to get significant playing time. After the team’s early playoff exit and eventual disbandment, he dedicated himself to improving his skills through ranked games in the following season.

Bawing-bawi po talaga ako ngayon,” he said.

Midway through Season 14, Koyl was contacted by veteran player and coach Setsuna “Ako si Dogie” Ignacio, who invited him to join TNC Pro Team. This opportunity became a turning point in his career, eventually securing him a spot on the main roster for Season 15.

Despite his limited playing time with Minana EVOS, Koyl remains deeply grateful to Dogie for his unwavering trust and support, which he credits as a crucial part of his development.
