After guiding TNC Pro Team to its first Top 4 finish since Season 9, head coach Patrick “E2max” Caidic couldn’t hide his joy, calling the achievement a moment of redemption for both himself and the Phoenix Army.
In an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times, E2max expressed his gratitude for the trust TNC placed in him despite his previous 0-14 run with the team, saying that the organization’s faith fueled their journey back to relevance.
“Masaya kasi naka-create kami ng bagong history sa TNC,” E2max said.
“Sobrang thankful din ako sa pagtanggap ulit sa’kin ng TNC even though ampangit ng naging standing namin before. Binigyan nila ako ng chance, and very happy ako na nabigay namin sa kanila etong achievement after heartbreak ng maraming season. Nakaka-proud.”
He also credited the team’s success to heart and confidence — qualities he believes truly separate winning teams once the playoffs begin.
“Yung puso nalang, kasi kami puso lang tsaka confident eh,” he said.
“Pagdating naman ng playoffs, pantay-pantay na yan. Kahit sino may chance manalo depende nalang talaga sa ipapakitang preparation and puso ng players.”
Now set to face Aurora in the upper bracket, E2max welcomes their underdog status, believing it gives them an edge against the league’s top seed.
“Sakin advantage yun kasi may part na possible maging kumpiyansa yung kalaban,” he said.
“Yung mga di nila ineexpect pwede mangyari, gusto namin mapakita yung talent at skills ng team kahit top 1 kalaban namin.”
