“Daghang salamat sa upat ka tuig FEU! Permi kong mapasalamaton kanimo!” wrote Tagaod on Instagram.
Before making their decision public, the two student-athletes met with FEU athletics director Mark Molina on May 9 to secure his blessing as they made the leap to the professional ranks.
Tagaod, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter from the University of San Jose-Recoletos, tallied 122 points during the UAAP Season 87 elimination round — comprising 106 attacks, nine blocks, and seven aces.
Asis, a 5-foot-10 middle blocker who came up through FEU-Diliman, delivered 118 points built on 90 attacks, 17 blocks, and 11 aces.
Together, the two played key roles in powering the Lady Tamaraws to back-to-back Final Four appearances.
