Twisted Minds PH ended a four-game losing streak with a dominant 2-0 sweep of TNC Pro Team, boosting their playoff hopes in Week 6 of MPL Philippines Season 15 at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City, Sunday.
This victory propelled Twisted Minds out of the cellar, securing the sixth spot with a 2-9 record as they head into the final two weeks of the regular season.
For Twisted Minds head coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza, communication spelled the difference for today’s victorious performance.
“Natuto kami sa kung anong nangyari samin (kahapon laban sa Team Falcons PH). Kung tutuusin, kayang-kaya rin yung laro kahapon. Yung nawala sa kanila is basically nag-aasume sila kung anong gagawin ng kakampi nila. Unlike dito tinatawag nila yung mga kakampi nila para magcheck bush, patulong magclear, pagtulong magvision sa ganito. Unlike kasi kahapon, yung communication nila medyo tagilid,” explained BON CHAN.
In Game 1, the BON CHAN-coached squad endured a lengthy Lord fight in the late game, lasting more than three minutes, before Michael “MP the King” Endino (Joy) secured the evolved Lord.
The 20-year-old jungler played a crucial role in a pivotal 25-minute skirmish, helping Twisted Minds win a decisive 2-1 exchange, leading to a game-winning base turret push in the midlane, 1-0.
Twisted Minds continued to dominate Game 2, securing all early objectives and claiming the 9th-minute Lord to establish a 6k net worth lead, off the back of a 3-0 kill advantage. They maintained control and clinched the series with a one-sided 16-minute finish.
Twisted Minds will aim for a third consecutive win as they face Smart Omega on April 25.
