V-League: Ronquillo, Kampton take turns as La Salle wallops Adamson for 2-0 slate


De La Salle University quickly disposed of Adamson University, 25-18, 25-16, 25-16, to move to 2-0 in the 2022 V-League Men’s Collegiate Challenge Pool A, Sunday at Paco Arena.

Noel Kampton followed his 27-point opener with 14 points on 10 attacks, three service aces, a block, and five excellent receptions.

“Maganda convincing win pero hindi talaga ako nakatutok sa magiging result, nakafocus ako sa details ng proseso namnin every situation,” said La Salle coach Arnold Laniog.

The Green Spikers, who also got 15 points from JM Ronquillo, dominated from the get-go in the third set, racing to a 17-6 start for the easy clincher in 1 hour and 18 minutes.

Nobody reached double figures in the Soaring Falcons camp with JM Tropia only having eight points.

Adamson looks to bounce back come next Sunday against Arellano, while La Salle will face College of Saint Benilde, the other team of Laniog, on November 4.
