Phoenix ships Sidney Onwubere to TNT for Justin Chua, Jon Gabriel


In a draft day deal that was approved by the PBA Commissioner’s office late, Sidney Onwubere can finally call himself a TNT Katropa after a deal was finalized between the MVP-owned franchise and the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

In exchange, TNT sent fourth-year pro Justin Chua and 11th overall pick Jon Gabriel.

Both Gabriel and Chua were already present during Phoenix’s first practice of the season last Monday at the Upper Deck Gym in Pasig City.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the deal was made during the draft Sunday, October 29.
