Stanley Pringle has taken matters into his own hands.
With the Terrafirma franchise still in limbo and its future uncertain, the 6-foot-1 Filipino-American guard chose not to wait any longer.
Instead, he has signed with Rain or Shine.
The Elasto Painters officially announced the move on Tuesday morning.
Pringle, along with Christian Standhardinger and a first-round pick in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft, was traded from Barangay Ginebra to Terrafirma in July 2024.
However, amid ongoing questions about the Dyip’s fate, Pringle opted to move forward.
In his most recent conference, Pringle posted averages of 13.18 points, 3.82 rebounds, and 2.95 assists per game.
He joined Rain or Shine as an unrestricted free agent.
The 38-year-old former Best Player of the Conference will also mentor Rain or Shine’s young backcourt that includes Adrian Nocum, Andrei Caracut, Anton Asistio, and Felix Lemetti.
The Elasto Painters parted ways with Ef Escandor early this month.
During the Philippine Cup, Terrafirma finished last with a 1-10 record.
The Terrafirma franchise is currently for sale as the Valientes have backed out of their planned purchase of the team.
The PBA Board of Governors is meeting on Thursday to decide on what’s next for the team.
