Team Liquid PH falls to bronze match after MWI semis defeat to Team Vitality

Team Liquid PH fought valiantly but ultimately fell short against the more experienced Team Vitality, suffering a 3-0 sweep in the semifinals of the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

With the loss, the Filipinas will be relegated to the battle-for-third match against Myanmar’s Terror Queens.

TLPH scored the first blood in Game 1, but the Indonesian representatives responded with two unanswered pick-offs during the 5th minute turtle fight to establish a 2,500 gold lead.

After the Philippine reps survived three lord takes from Team Vitality, Michelle “CHEL” Siswanto (Granger) put matters into her own hands. She took four kills during a 15th-minute, 5-for-2 wipeout to give the Indonesians a 1-0 series lead.

In Game 2, Team Vitality once again used a 5th-minute team fight to wrestle control as Viorelle “VIVAL” Chen (X-Borg) scored a double kill to spark a 4-for-1 trade.

It was all Team Vitality from there, conceding only one death the rest of the way to reach match point by the 9th minute.

The Filipinas pulled all the stops and kept Game 3 close, but Team Vitality displayed poise to force a series-clinching, 5-for-1 wipeout early in the 21st minute to complete the sweep.
