Team Liquid PH punches SF spot as NAVI PH crashes out in MWI 2025

Team Liquid PH delivered a near-flawless performance in the quarterfinals, sweeping Middle East representative Twisted Minds, 2-0, to secure a semifinal berth at the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Their dominant win came shortly after NAVI PH’s heartbreaking 2-0 loss to North America’s Gaimin Gladiators, ending the team’s campaign and leaving TLPH as the lone Filipino squad in the tournament.

TLPH posted a dominant 17-3 spread on the kill score during a 17-minute victory in the opening frame as Zaira “Zaishii” Gilhang (Angela) led the way with four kills and 11 assists with zero deaths.

The Filipinas continued to pounce their way in Game 2 as they quickly established a 2,600 net worth lead as early as the 4th minute courtesy of Zaishii’s (Zhu Xin) 3-0-1 KDA.

They did not look back from there as Clarisse “CLA” Owari (Granger) punctuated TLPH’s rousing performance with a maniac killing streak late in the 12th minute to complete the sweep.

TLPH will face MWI 2024 runners-up, Team Vitality of Indonesia, in the semifinals.

With the early exit of NAVI PH — bannered by Smart Omega’s 2024 championship roster — a new team is guaranteed to be crowned champion at this year’s MWI.
