Jericho Cruz’s fourth PBA championship might just be his sweetest yet.
The emotional 6-foot-1 guard, who has been in the league since 2014, was named Finals MVP of the 2025 Philippine Cup.
While his averages of 13.83 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.33 assists per game might not jump off the page, it was his poise and consistency that stood out when it mattered most.
A product of Adamson University, Cruz struggled in the first two games of the series, managing just 14 points on 3-of-17 shooting.
But when the going got tough, he delivered.
He turned in his best performance in Game 4, pouring in 23 points to lead San Miguel to a crucial 105-91 win that shifted the momentum of the series.
Even after TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa made remarks about him following that breakout game, Cruz stayed focused and composed.
Now, not only has he secured his fourth PBA title — but he’s also earned his first-ever Finals MVP trophy.
