After three years in the PBA, Allyn Bulanadi will look to regain his confidence in the MPBL.
The 6-foot guard from Davao City has signed with the Pangasinan Heatwaves for the remainder of the 2025 season, parting ways with NorthPort. His agent, Danny Espiritu, announced the move via Facebook.
Currently, the Heatwaves hold a 12-6 record — good for seventh place in the North Division — as they aim for a strong playoff push with the addition of Bulanadi.
This would also mark a reunion between Bulanadi and Jerson Cabiltes, as he played for Basilan-Jumbo Plastic back in the Lakan season.
A standout from San Sebastian, Bulanadi was selected fourth overall in the special 2019 PBA Gilas Draft.
He spent two years with the national team before making his PBA debut with Alaska in February 2022.
After the Dennis Anthony Uy-led acquisition of the Alaska franchise, Bulanadi was absorbed by Converge.
On January 4, 2022, he was traded to NorthPort in exchange for Jerrick Balanza. However, his stint with the Batang Pier was short-lived, as he was dealt to San Miguel just a day later.
Bulanadi returned to NorthPort on December 11, 2023, as part of a three-team trade involving NLEX and San Miguel. The deal saw Don Trollano move to the Beermen and Robert Bolick land with the Road Warriors.
In the most recent Philippine Cup, the 28-year-old guard averaged 6.3 points and 1.4 rebounds across 11 games.
Now, Bulanadi hopes to revitalize his career in the MPBL, joining a veteran-laden Pangasinan squad that includes fellow former PBA players Vic Manuel, Jorey Napoles, Hesed Gabo, Mike Digregorio, Michael Mabulac, and JP Maguliano.
Northport will still own his rights in the PBA.
