Don Trollano is set to reunite with his ‘family.’
On Monday, the star winger was shipped by NorthPort to San Miguel following the PBA’s approval of a three-team trade that also involved NLEX.
The Beermen worked a deal with the Batang Pier after the latter and the Road Warriors consummated a swap centered on Robert Bolick.
NorthPort sent Bolick and Kent Salado to the MVP ball club for Trollano, Kris Rosales, Ben Adamos, and a Season 49 second-round pick.
NLEX admittedly pursued Bolick to address the absence of Kevin Alas, who’s out for Season 48 after suffering the third ACL injury of his career.
That meant letting go of key pieces like Trollano, who became a Road Warrior in 2021 after being traded by Blackwater in a deal that also involved TNT.
In order to get his services, SMB dealt young winger Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo, and its Season 51 second-round selection.
Trollano’s arrival to the powerhouse will mark a reunion among Adamson boys, with coach Leo Austria and teammates Jericho Cruz and Rodney Brondial.
The quartet spent two UAAP seasons together with the Soaring Falcons.
It’s a major move on the part of San Miguel, who’s been dealing with injuries to stars including June Mar Fajardo due to a fractured hand.
Missing around six players, the Beermen bowed to Magnolia on Sunday, 94-90, and lost its second in a row in the ongoing Commissioner’s Cup.
