SMB swaps rights to Zamar, pick to Northport for Bulanadi

San Miguel made sure to get value for restricted free agent Paul Zamar.

The Beermen have traded Zamar and its second round pick for the PBA Season 51 Rookie Draft to Northport for Allyn Bulanadi.

The Batang Pier acquired Bulanadi just yesterday in a straight swap with Converge.

According to reports, Zamar had wanted to sign with Blackwater as his contract with San Miguel ended on December 31. However, the Beermen had a 30-day window to match any offers on the restricted free agent.

The 35-year-old, 5-foot-11 floor general out of University of the East played 21 games for the Beermen this season, morning 3.76 points per contest.

Bulanadi, meanwhile, played 21 games for the FiberXers during the first two conferences of Season 47, averaging 5.10 points and 1.14 rebounds per game.

The second game of each PBA gameday is live-streamed on SMART Sports.
