Nexplay releases Exort ahead of MPL PH 8

Nexplay Esports has released veteran support Dexter “Exort” Martinez from its Mobile Legends roster, the organization announced on Thursday.

“The MPL Season 7 has become a crazy yet successful journey for our ML team, and Exort has become a great part of it. However, today we would like to announce Exort’s exit from our ML team roster,” said Nexplay Esports in a statement posted on their Facebook page.

“Thank you for being a part of Nexplay Esports, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.”

After going unsigned back in Season Six, Exort was brought in by Nexplay Esports to provide leadership to the young squad led by the trio of John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse.

The team, however, still suffered the same fate they did in Season Six. Come the Season Seven playoffs, the squad was booted out in the first round of the playoffs by rookie Work Auster Force.

Nexplay Esports finished the Season Seven regular season at fourth place in Group B with a 6-7 win-loss slate.

Interestingly, Exort was actually one of the few bright spots for Nexplay Esports this season. He provided the team with explosive plays with his signature heroes such as Lunox and Yve.

The former ArkAngel Wicked Minds member has already started his search for a new team in a Facebook post on his personal account.
