Despite already securing a playoff spot, Team Falcons Philippines ensured they took care of business by sweeping Twisted Minds, 2-0, in MPL Philippines Season 15 on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
Throughout both games, Twisted Minds struggled with early to mid-game deficits, unable to match Team Falcons’ world-class mechanics.
Salic “Hadjizy” Imam’s Pharsa was able to effectively extend the game for Twisted Minds as his utilization of the Feathered Air Strike halted FLCN’s sieges time and time again.
While Twisted Minds showed resilience, they failed to capitalize on the space created to shift momentum. Marco “Super Marco” Requitano and Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson stood out, proving difficult to counter.
Super Marco earned MVP honors in Game 1 with a flawless 6/0/4 KDA on Granger.
In the next game, it was KyleTzy’s Suyou who delivered, securing three kills and six assists.
In the post-match interview, Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel shared that the win would serve as a boost for the team’s momentum as they headed to Jakarta, Indonesia later that day.
“Feeling ko malaking impact to para sa momentum namin kasi diretso flight na kami after nito eh, para masaya sa airport,” Pheww joked.
Team Falcons will travel to Indonesia for the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters from April 7 to 13 before resuming their season run.
After the two-week break, the “Falcons’ Nest” will face TNC Pro Team on April 25 at 7:30 p.m.
Before that, Twisted Minds will take on the “Phoenix Army” this coming Sunday at the same venue.
