GDL bros commit to San Sebastian

The Rob Labagala era at San Sebastian College-Recoletos has landed its first major recruits.

Brothers Jordi and Jaime Gomez de Liaño have officially committed to the Golden Stags, team booster Jax Chua confirmed on Tuesday.

Both standing at 6-foot-5, the Gomez de Liaño brothers bring size and potential to the NCAA squad.

“Grateful for the trust na ibinigay ng De Liaño family sa akin, pati sa management at staff ko. Super happy for the Baste community,” said Golden Stags head coach Rob Labagala.

“We’re celebrating our small wins with smiles and the motivation to work for more.”

Jordi, 22, previously suited up for University of Santo Tomas during UAAP Season 84 before transferring to Ateneo de Manila University.

However, he did not crack Ateneo’s Team A.

A versatile stretch forward, Jordi will be required to sit out one year before becoming eligible in NCAA Season 102. He still has two years of eligibility remaining.
