Stallion, Kaya-Iloilo keep winning ways in PFFWL; Makati impresses in first outing

Club teams Stallion Laguna, Kaya-Iloilo, and newly established Makati FC secured three points each in the second week of the 2025 PFF Women’s League at the SM Mall of Asia Football Pitch.

On Saturday, Kaya-Iloilo cruised past Capital1 Solar Strikers with a dominant 3-0 victory.

The scoring opened in the 21st minute courtesy of Dionesa Tolentin, who later received the Pinay Futbolera of the Year award from Pinay Futbol and the Philippine Women’s Football Association.

Hali Long doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, while Alisha Del Campo sealed the win with a 95th-minute strike.

Stallion Laguna made a statement the next day, dismantling University of Santo Tomas, 6-0.

Chandler and Kala McDaniel each recorded braces, with Chandler finding the net in the 7th and 20th minutes, while Kala added her goals in the 26th and 67th minutes.

Sierra Castles continued her fine form, scoring in the 42nd minute, and Pauline San Buenaventura capped off the rout with an 82nd-minute goal.

Makati made a spectacular league debut, shocking University of the Philippines with a resounding 5-0 win, Thursday evening.

The young club, which features UAAP standouts and key foreign reinforcements—particularly from the Indonesian national team—wasted no time making an impact.

Yona De La Calzada netted one of the fastest goals of the season, scoring just two minutes after kickoff.

UP struggled to respond as Angely Alferez bagged a brace in the 29th and 94th minutes, while Indonesian recruit Sheva Furyzcha added two of her own in the 47th and 50th minutes.

This Sunday, UST will look to bounce back as they face Makati FC at 4:30 p.m., followed by UP taking on Capital1 at 7:00 p.m.
