Cambodia’s Pro Esports signs Hesa

After a one-season hiatus, goldlaner Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara is back in Cambodia.

The former Nexplay Evos goldlaner will reunite with Filipino coach John Michael “Zico” Dizon with Pro Esports playing in the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Cambodia, the team announced on Tuesday.

Hesa and Zico led Burn x Flash to their first MPL KH title during the MPL Cambodia Autumn-Split 2022 which qualified them to the M4 World Championship in Indonesia last January.

The 20-year-old goldlaner will be joining a squad that finished fourth during their debut season in the recently-concluded MPL Cambodia Spring 2023.

Hesa’s return though will have to wait until the MPL Cambodia Autumn 2023 later this year.

During his tenure with Burn x Flash, he also led the team to the WOWNOW & Prince Mall League title, besting powerhouse Impunity KH in the grand finals.
