Just days after getting eliminated from the M4 World Championship, head coach John “Zico” Dizon and gold laner Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara both announced that they are parting ways with Burn X Flash, Friday night.
Zico was signed by the Cambodian squad for the 2022 Autumn Season. He immediately brought in Hesa, who played under him in Nexplay EVOS, to bolster the up-and-coming squad.
Together, the two MPL PH products steered Burn X Flash to its first-ever title after beating Logic Esports, 3-1, in the grand finals.
With the win, Burn X Flash qualified to the M4 World Championship where they finished in 13th-16th place after getting booted out by The Valley in the first round of the lower bracket playoffs.
