Snapdragon: RSG PH rises over ECHO, Burn X Flash to go 3-1

RSG PH achieved an impressive feat during the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 SEA – Challenge Finals last Tuesday, as they swept their assignments by defeating two reigning champions.

Despite a shocking loss to Yoodo Red Giants in a previous match, RSG PH lived up to their reputation as the “Kingslayers” by securing commanding victories over MPL champions ECHO and Burn X Flash, both via a clean sweep.

As a result of their outstanding performance, they now share the top spot in Group A with MPL PH kings, boasting identical 3-1 win-loss records.

The reigning M4 world champions demonstrated resilience and swift recovery under the guidance of Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, who assumed the role of the team’s roamer against RSG SG in place of Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera.

Meanwhile, AP Bren maintained its impeccable record by handing EVOS Legends their third consecutive loss, sealing a 2-0 victory. Although the Indonesians secured Game 1 of the series, the spotlight was stolen by Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson’s Hayabusa in Game 2, leading the Filipino team to level the series.

In a decisive Game 3, AP Bren heavily relied on Marco “Super Marco” Requitano’s Beatrix, who showcased exceptional performance with four kills and an assist, ultimately securing a 12-10 triumph in just 13 minutes of action.

Thanks to this remarkable victory, AP Bren stands as the only undefeated squad in Pool B, maintaining a perfect record of 3-0. (Jan Marcus Montevirgen)
