Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors guest player Edina Selimovic will no longer play the rest of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Bosnian middle blocker partially tore her right hamstring according to Lady Warriors team manager Atty. Eric Ty.
The 25-year-old, apparently, first injured her hamstring in training last April but continued to play through it. She then aggravated the injury in her debut match against Creamline last Saturday.
Selimovic, who has been a force with 46 combined points in her first two matches, can still walk, run, and jump. But Pocari Sweat management does not want to risk further damage to her hamstring.
Ty added that they are eyeing a replacement, possibly a member of Team USA.
