Kevin Murphy slapped with just 5K bill as F1 call stands; Henry Walker handed 21K tab

Due to the flagrant foul penalty one he incurred in the San Miguel Beermen’s heated affair with the Phoenix Fuel Masters last October 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena, import Kevin Murphy has been fined PHP 5,000 by the PBA.

Murphy was summoned by the league Tuesday.

Murphy was called for an F1 when he appeared to grab Fuel Masters star Calvin Abueva by the neck and crashed into the guardrails along the baseline with 4:11 left in their game, causing a scuffle on the court.

The polarizing Abueva was summoned by the league yesterday and was penalized with a total of PHP 10,000 for foisting a dirty finger twice last week on different occasions, including against the Beermen where they lost, 100-117.

Phoenix head coach Louie Alas, team manager Paolo Bugia, deputy Cesar Polhen, and players Doug Kramer, JC Intal, LA Revilla, Willie Wilson, Jaypee Mendoza, and Rey Guevarra were also fined PHP 5,000 for entering the court.

On the other hand, Blackwater import Henry Walker also has to pay a fine amounting a hefty PHP 21,600 for his outburst during the Elite’s match with the Magnolia Hotshots last October 10, which saw him get booted out.

Walker, who said he had simply had enough of the referees’ non-calls that led to his implosion, has been fined PHP 1,600 for a technical foul and PHP 20,000 pesos for throwing his mouthguard, which made contact with referee Niño Cortez
