KarlTzy leads Team Liquid PH to MSC Grand Finals, inches closer to elusive crown

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno is on the brink of cementing another legacy as he led Team Liquid Philippines to a commanding 3-1 victory over ONIC Esports, securing a spot in the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2025 on Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

With the win, KarlTzy now stands just one step away from claiming the only major title missing from his storied career, as Team Liquid PH prepares to face defending champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports in the grand finals.

In Game 1, KarlTzy and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano set the tone early, combining for 11 kills and 18 assists without suffering a single death.

Team Liquid PH built a net worth lead of up to 11,300 before sealing the game with a four-on-two clash late in the 14th minute.

Game 2 turned into a drawn-out battle, with neither side managing to pull ahead decisively.

During a tense 25-minute standoff, Team Liquid PH attempted to break through the base turret but lost two players to Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto’s precise Spear of Destiny (Moskov).

Still, KarlTzy and the remaining TLPH members fearlessly stormed the enemy base, sacrificing themselves to secure the win and put the team at match point, 2-0.

ONIC Esports rallied in Game 3, erasing an 8,300 gold deficit to stay alive and force a fourth game.

But in the decider, it was all Team Liquid PH. They dominated from start to finish, wrapping up the series with a 14-minute masterclass to clinch the victory, 3-1.

With the loss, ONIC Esports falls to the bronze medal match, where they will face sister team ONIC Philippines tomorrow.
