Oasis Gaming had an underwhelming opener at the group stage after dropping the series in two games, 0-2 against ORDER in the group C of the Valorant Champions Tour Asia-Pacific Stage 2: Challengers Playoffs on Wednesday.
The Philippines stage 2 1st runner-up wasn’t able to force a decider, losing by a large margin in Game Two at ORDER’s map pick, Ascent, with a 2-13 scoreline.
The Aussies were able to start waxed hot, taking a dominating 7-0 lead at the start.
It looked like Oasis had something up their sleeve, taking back-to-back rounds in 8 and 9, highlighted by Mark Louis Nino “Ripper” Laguardia’s (Killjoy) triple-kill in round 9.
However, that was the last for Ripper and Oasis as they were not able to snatch another round as the Australians had another blast with 6-0, completing the blowout triumph.
Bhreyanne Christ “Wild0reoo” Reyes’ Astra led the way for Oasis with 12 markers.
Mark Anthony “Marky” Tuling (Raze) had an off-night, only finishing with four kills as a duelist.
For ORD, everyone finished with a double-digit kill mark.
In Game One, the Filipinos weren’t able to defend their map pick at Breeze via a 7-13 loss.
Oasis Gaming will fight for their lives at the elimination on Friday, June 17.
