MSC: ECHO to face Fire Flux, Team EVO; Blacklist gets tough draw


The stage is set for the highly-anticipated 2023 Mobile Legends Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup after the groupings were finally revealed on Friday afternoon.

ECHO, the reigning MPL Philippines champion, is slotted in Group A along with Turkey’s Fire Flux Impunity and Laos’ Team EVO.

Meanwhile, Blacklist International is placed in Group D along with defending MPL Malaysia champion Todak and Occupy Thrones of Egypt.

Group B will be composed of Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera’s EVOS Legends (Indonesia), Fenix Esports (Myanmar), and RSG Slate SG (Singapore).

Meanwhile, Group C will feature several Filipinos in Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and Denver “Yeb” Miranda of ONIC Esports (Indonesia), Mariusz “Donut” Tan of Burn X Flash (Cambodia), and Peter “Basic” Lozano, Steven “Dale” Vitug, and Rainiel “URESHIII” Logronio of Team Outplay (North America).

The group stage will use a best-of-three format while a knockout system will be used in the best-of-five playoffs.

The MSC will run from June 10 to 18 and will be held at the Aeon Mall Mean Chey in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
