Team Falcons PH completed the upper bracket cast of the MPL Philippines Season 15 play-ins after surviving a thrilling 3-2 showdown against TNC Pro Team on Wednesday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.
After dropping the opening game, the Season 12 champions bounced back in dominant fashion in Game 2, finishing with a lopsided 16-2 kill score. Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Granger) led the charge with a flawless 10-0-4 KDA, spearheading the team’s resurgence.
Fueled by that momentum, Team Falcons continued to apply pressure in Game 3, securing the fastest playoff win of the season with an 11-minute, 23-second victory. Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson (Hayabusa) delivered a stellar performance, tallying five kills and six assists.
TNC, however, refused to go down without a fight, bouncing back in Game 4 to force a decider. But in the crucial fifth game, Team Falcons PH neutralized TNC’s surprise Franco pick with superior macro play and map control to seal the hard-fought series.
With the win, Team Falcons PH advances to face league-leaders Team Liquid PH in a battle for a coveted spot in the upper bracket finals.
