MPL PH: Kairi, Marky connive as ONIC PH quickly dispatches Bren

ONIC PH got back on the winning track through a 2-0 sweep of Bren Esports in the MPL Philippines Season Nine, Saturday night.

The MPL Philippines Season Eight grand finalist upped its slate to 2-1 with five points. It ties the 2-1 Nexplay EVOS at the fourth spot.

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol (Hayabusa) botched a split push attempt. Then ONIC PH – who was already up by 9K in the gold department – took down the Luminous Lord in the 15:13-mark.

Bren Esports countered with a pick off on Kairi after the objective, but Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel’s Lylia also fell down in the process. That gave ONIC PH the perfect chance to convert the final siege to a win.

It was not all sunshine and butterflies for ONIC PH, though. They had to fend off the early game exploits of David “FlapTzy” Canon’s Gloo and Kenneth “Saxa” Fedellin’s Lancelot.

Kairi finished with seven kills and three assists against one death in the 12-5 Game One win in 16 minutes and 21 seconds. Meanwhile, Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio’s Wanwan had a 4-1-5 KDA line.
