MPL: Blacklist spoils Dogie’s debut, deals Nexplay sixth straight loss

Blacklist International spoiled Setsuna “Batute” Dogie’s debut after handing Nexplay EVOS its sixth consecutive loss, 2-0, in the second round of the MPL Philippines Season 10, Friday at the ICITE Auditorium.

Just a couple hours after RSG PH seized the top spot, Blacklist International regained the number one seat in the standings with a league-best 6-2 standing laced with 17 points. This is the Tier One-backed squad’s third consecutive win since going winless in the third week.

Dominant was Blacklist International in the first nine minutes of Game One.

The reigning M3 World Champions put up an 8K gold advantage while also flexing its muscle all over the map by taking down five Nexplay EVOS turrets. In addition to that, Blacklist International also sealed the first Lord of the contest which forced Nexplay EVOS to camp inside their base for the entirety of the match.

Blacklist International then bagged the match via a four-man wipe during the 16th minute.

Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna (Faramis) put up five kills and 14 assists against just one death in the dominant 22-6 Game One win in 16 minutes and 21 seconds while Salic “Hadji” Imam (Valentina) added eight kills and nine assists against three deaths.

A Lord steal from Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Natalia in the 17th minute which was followed by a three-man wipe helped Blacklist International take the game.

Nexplay EVOS has now dropped its seventh game in eight outings.

Blacklist International will face Omega Esports tomorrow, Saturday at 7:30PM while Nexplay EVOS will take on TNC earlier that day at 5:00 PM.
