Fiola Ceballos leads ZUS Coffee’s latest additions

ZUS Coffee continues to bolster its roster ahead of the upcoming Premier Volleyball League season, headlined by the addition of veteran outside hitter Fiola Ceballos.

Following the earlier announcement of Reinforced Conference Best Libero Alyssa Eroa’s arrival, the Thunderbelles have now tapped former PLDT standout Ceballos, ex-Choco Mucho middle blocker Maika Ortiz, and former Galeries Tower setter Renee Mabilangan.

Ceballos is coming off a career-best campaign in her four-season run with the High Speed Hitters.

In the 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, she showcased her all-around game, tallying 78 points, 106 digs, and 67 receptions. She averaged 6.5 points, 8.8 digs, and 5.6 receptions across 14 games in what was the league’s longest conference to date.

“Fiola Ceballos is bringing the espresso energy to the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles this PVL season,” the team posted on Facebook.

Ortiz, meanwhile, saw limited action in the past conference with Choco Mucho, scoring just 16 points.

Mabilangan, who played behind Julia Coronel and Fhen Emnas at Galeries, recorded only 30 excellent sets during her stint.

Ortiz played three seasons with the Flying Titans, while Mabilangan suited up for Galeries for two seasons, gaining a reputation as a steady and reliable playmaker.

ZUS Coffee is looking to build on its breakthrough 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign, where the team clinched its first-ever playoff appearance and finished seventh overall.
