Wise regains form, lifts ONIC PH to third seed in MPL-PH Group B

Slowly regaining his old form, Wise helped ONIC PH secure the third seed in Group B after disposing of Cignal Ultra, 2-0, in the final week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines, Saturday evening.

Wise, who has struggled in the early part of the season, played Roger aggressively in the opener, allowing ONIC PH to take a 1-0 lead over Cignal. He finished Game One with a clean 9-0-2 KDA, along with an 11,388-net worth.

He then stepped up his aggression in Game Two, putting up 11 kills, a death, and five assists through a total net worth of 17,224 using Yi Sun Shin.

ONIC actually had a tougher time in the second match, with Hadess’ Karrie supplying the much-needed damage for Cignal.

But it earned some much-needed separation when Dlar (Uranus) and Jay (Baxia) successfully zoned out the entire Cignal squad. That gave Iy4knu (Thamuz) and Wise the space to secure the lord which later on sealed the deal for ONIC.

Iy4knu ended the match with five kills, three deaths, and six assists. Meanwhile, the supporting cast of OhMyV33NUS (Rafaela) and Jay had a combined total of 25 assists.

With the victory, ONIC has locked the third spot in Group B with an 8-4 standing – good for 21 points. On the other hand, Cignal was relegated to the fourth seed with a 3-9 standing for 12 points.
