Gorayeb’s Capital1 holds open tryouts for PVL team

Capital1 Solar Energy, determined to turn heads in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) conference, will conduct a two-day tryout at the San Sebastian College-Recoletos gym starting tomorrow.

Roger Gorayeb, a multi-titled coach from SSC-R appointed by sisters Milka and Mandy Romero to oversee the Power Spikers, will lead the tryouts with the assistance of his capable team.

Close to 100 players from various clubs, colleges, and universities have expressed their intention to participate in the tryouts. All of them eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase their skills in the country’s hottest sporting league and be part of the “newest kid on the block.”

Both Milka and Mandy are excited about their initial venture into the sporting world, although they are well aware that they must navigate the proverbial eye of the needle before challenging the league giants.

Milka is a former co-captain of the Ateneo football team. Meanwhile, Mandy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University in Washington DC, where she practiced Muay Thai.

Both have declared themselves ready for the challenges ahead.
