A couple of Far Eastern University standouts have decided to forgo their college eligibility to move on to the Premier Volleyball League days before the UAAP Season 86 tournament commences.
Up-and-coming outside hitter Kiesha Bedonia and libero Max Juangco have decided to sign with different professional clubs for the upcoming 2024 PVL season.
Bedonia joined a stacked PLDT side while Akari secured the services of Juangco.
“Will she be a key player in our 2024 PVL campaign? You can BEDON it! Young, athletic, and BRAVE, former FEU Lady Tamaraw and outside hitter Kiesha Bedonia joins PLDT,” said the High-Speed Hitters in a Facebook post.
“The High-Speed Hitters are ready for you! LET’S GO, KIESHA!”
Bedonia, who has yet to see action in the UAAP, opted to turn pro after showcasing her skills in the previous edition of the V-League Collegiate Challenge, where she won the 2nd Best Outside Hitter award.
Meanwhile, Juangco, who played two seasons with the Lady Tamaraws, is expected to play a significant role for the Chargers due to Justine Jazareno’s leave of absence.
“Bravely charging into the pros is the talented libero from Far Eastern University, Maxine Juangco,” announced Akari.
“Her MAXimum effort on the defensive end will elevate the Akari Chargers to another level this season. Welcome to Chargers ground, Max.”
