Fans who trooped to the SMART Araneta Coliseum for Game Six of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between TNT KaTropa and San Miguel Beermen didn’t enjoy the first half very much.
Unfortunately, the venue’s air conditioning system had broken.
Per some of the Coliseum’s staffers, one of the circuit breakers acted up, and greatly affected its aircon system.
The court became slippery, while fans were trying to cool themselves.
The aircon was actually working just fine until the game’s early moments.
Players also suffered in the humidity. Imports Terrence Jones and Chris McCullough were being fanned with towels by their respective team staffers in their benches.
Staff fixed the aircon system during the halftime break.
This isn’t the first time this season that the league played under similar conditions. Back in July 23, the the league nearly called off the Ginebra-NLEX clash due to the humidity of the Batangas City Coliseum.
