A new era begins for Phoenix as PBA Season 50 approaches.
The Fuel Masters announced on Friday that Willy Wilson has been promoted to head coach.
Meanwhile, Jamike Jarin will transition into a consultancy role with the team.
Wilson, 45, concluded his 15-year playing career with Phoenix in 2019 before joining the coaching staff as an assistant under then-head coach Topex Robinson.

Jarin served as interim head coach following Robinson’s move to La Salle in 2023.
He was later appointed full-time head coach last year, but led Phoenix to an 8-25 record across the three conferences.
During the tail end of the Philippine Cup, Jarin empowered his assistant coaches — including Paolo Dizon, Jon Jacinto, and Christien Dela Cruz — to draw up plays during games.
Phoenix will hold the second overall pick in the upcoming 2025 PBA Draft, scheduled for September 7.
