ECHO joins Sibol WE Championships qualis

ECHO also threw its name to the SIBOL World Esports Championships qualifiers, joining Bren Esports and Nexplay EVOS, Thursday evening.

Country manager Mitch Liwanag confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

In the previous SIBOL qualifiers for the 31st Southeast Asian Games, ECHO missed a couple of key pieces due to the age restriction set by host country Vietnam. The team missed the playoffs.

Now, ECHO will have the luxury of fielding Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico as the International Esports Federation allows players who are 15 years old and above to join the tournament.

ECHO finished at 5th-6th place in the MPL Philippines Season Nine after losing to Omega Esports in the first round of the playoffs.

Blacklist International, RSG PH, and Omega Esports all received direct invites to the qualifiers while ECHO, Bren Esports, and Nexplay EVOS registered in the event.

TNC, on the other hand, will skip the qualifiers.

The top two teams in the qualifiers (July 8-10) will get the chance to enter the combine which will run from July 15 to July 17.
