Blacklist gives Omega dose of own medicine, remains unblemished in MPL PH

Blacklist International gave Omega Esports a taste of its own medicine, unleashing a strong fightback in Game Three to seal the 2-1 victory in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Saturday night.

With Omega Esports attempting a siege in Game Three, Blacklist International successfully defended their base all thanks to the efforts of Edward “Edward” Dapadap’s Paquito.

That seemed to have reset the match, giving Blacklist International the perfect opening when they took out four Omega Esports members inside its own jungle. The team then melted Renz “Renzio” Cadua’s Phoveus to seal the win.

Salic “Hadjizy” Imam (Kagura), who made the comeback possible, nabbed the SMART 5G MVP award with five kills and four assists against three deaths in the 16-12 Game Three win which lasted for 15 minutes and 34 seconds.MPL-PH-8-Blacklist-def-Omega-Game-3 Blacklist gives Omega dose of own medicine, remains unblemished in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Blacklist International (4-0) moved up to the second spot, forging a tie with ECHO (2-2) with seven points each while Omega Esports (1-3) slid to the fifth spot with five points.

“Exciting e kapag sila yung kalaban,” said Blacklist International head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza. “Basta enjoy kaming nag lalaro kapag sila yung kalaban hindi lang dahil sa kami na yung tinaguriang bagong rivals kundi enjoy talaga e, enjoy sila kalaro.

“Mapa-kung sino pa ‘man lumaro sa kanila pero ang iniisip ko kanina parang magiging showmatch dahil hindi sila kumpleto pero ang intense talagang sila pa rin yung dating sila,” he added.

Blacklist International had all the momentum in Game One, taking over the first 20 minutes against rival Omega Esports.

That, however, all ended as the Smart-backed squad managed to withstand a late siege from the Tier One-powered team all thanks to Dean “Raizen” Sumagui’s X.Borg – who played a crucial role in Omega’s defense.

Omega Esports then completed a four-man wipe, leaving Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna’s Angela to defend. The five-man Omega then ran over the middle lane and ended the match, 11-15, in 23 minutes and 52 seconds.

Not wanting to go down without a fight, Blacklist International leaned on Edward’s Benedetta in Game Two to equalize the series at 1-all.

Edward led a mid-game pickoff on Raizen (Alice) and Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic (Eudora) which resulted in a free Lord take in the 10:14-minute mark. That put the lead on Blacklist International as they went on to take the win.
