The University Athletic Association of the Philippines has moved on from ABS-CBN.
After two decades, the premier collegiate league will have a new television partner in CIGNAL TV for the next five and a half years.
Games will air on One Sports Channel five and other channels of Cignal.
“As part of this collaboration, select events of the UAAP will be aired on One Sports channel and its other digital assets, ensuring an engaging and expansive coverage across different multimedia platforms,” the league statement read.
Last May, the league ended its relationship with ABS-CBN after the network did not receive a franchise renewal from congress.
The 83rd season of the league looks to begin on April, 2021.
“Despite the current challenges, the league is looking forward to the partnership as a new chapter that can take the UAAP to greater heights.”
