Tai Bundit mum on possible return to coaching

The man who brought the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles to back-to-back titles, Tai Bundit, was present for Game Two of the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball Finals.

With his signature jovial spirit, Bundit cheered and rooted as the Lady Eagles took Game Two and extended the Finals to a Game Three.

“Lucky, ah?” Bundit told reporters, pointing at himself.

“Still happy, still Heartstrong.”

Asked about a possible return to the Philippines to coach again, Bundit could only offer a stern “maybe”.

Numerous sources have told Tiebreaker Times that several high school and college programs are interested in bringing in the Thai mentor to bolster their program. Bundit has been linked to National University by several sources.

Under Bundit, the Lady Eagles won the Season 76 and 77 championships, and went to the Finals in Seasons 78 and 79.

Bundit ended his time with the Katipunan-based program in Season 80 with a second runners-up finish.

Bundit last coached in the Philippines late in 2018, bringing the Creamline Cool Smashers to the Open Conference title.

He left his post, wanting to spend time with his family. He still serves as a consultant for Creamline.
