CANDON, Ilocos Sur – Team Power survived a spirited challenge from Team Passion, pulling through in four sets, 25-18, 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, to claim the Spikers’ Turf exhibition win in the 2026 Volleyball All-Star Showcase on Friday at the Candon City Arena.
Spearheaded by team captain Noel Kampton, the Sydney Calderon-coached Team Power asserted control early, making good use of the Premier Ball in the first two sets.
They built momentum through sustained offensive runs while also tightening their defense to limit Team Passion’s rhythm.
Team Passion, however, refused to back down.
Behind the efforts of Poy Colinares, Jau Umandal, Mark Calado, and Jared Schnake, they broke through in the third set to stay in contention. But Team Power quickly regained composure in the fourth frame to close out the match.
For their victory, Team Power took home the P100,000 prize, while Team Passion received P50,000.
Meanwhile, the Premier Volleyball League All-Stars also took part in the Zig-Zag Dig-A-Thon side event prior to their exhibition match.
Team Hustle—led by Brooke Van Sickle, Jackie Acuña, and Tots Carlos—teamed up with three fans and emerged victorious.
Team Heart, composed of Jema Galanza, Myla Pablo, and Jean Asis, also leaned on fan support, with three spectators joining their side in the spirited challenge.
