Super Frince keeps eyes on prize amidst historic streak

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

In MPL Philippines Season 14, Fnatic ONIC Philippines continued their dominance after Day 1 of the final week, remaining undefeated with a win over Falcons AP.Bren on Friday. This victory extended their winning streak to 13 matches.

With one more match left on Saturday at 7:30 PM against Smart Omega, the Sonics have the opportunity to make history by becoming the first team to sweep the entire regular season of the league.

Despite the potential to achieve such a remarkable feat, the squad remains focused on treating each match with equal importance.

For them, these accomplishments are simply a bonus.

In an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times, France “Super Frince” Ramirez highlighted the team’s growth over the season. He credited their impressive run to the openness among the players, which has fostered strong chemistry both inside and outside the game.

As the longest-tenured player on Fnatic ONIC, having been with the team since Season 10, Super Frince expressed that while achieving such milestones is fulfilling, what he truly dreams of is becoming a champion.

Reflecting on what has changed this season compared to previous ones, he emphasized that the management and coaching staff have been more determined and hands-on this year.

Kasi parang mas all-in sila ngayong season,” he continued.

Following a heartbreaking loss to Blacklist International last season – where they were defeated in four games, 1-3 – Super Frince now feels confident that this year they have what it takes to secure their first-ever championship title.

“Opo. Kasi kaya namin lahat ng team and tinitignan din po namin yung ibang team na malakas sa Pinas, kaya feeling ko po kaya namin [mag-champion],” he concluded.
