Roosevelt Adams signs with Yamagata

Roosevelt Adams will remain in the B.League.

Yamagata snapped up the 6-foot-5 winger a week after being released by Kagawa.

The Five Arrows had no choice but to release Adams after their relegation to B3.

“I’m very thankful for the new opportunity to join the Wyverns,” said Adams, the 2019 PBA Draft’s top overall pick. “I am very excited to meet my new teammates, staff, and organization.

“And of course to play in front of the Yamagata fans.”

In his first season in the B.League, Adams averaged 9.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 36 games played.

However, Kagawa finished second to the last in the league with a 16-44 record.

Yamagata is looking to bounce back from its 2022-23 season that saw them miss the playoffs with a 26-34 slate.
